Top Hampshire School Renews Site-Wide Fire Alarm Maintenance

Press release from: Chris Lewis Fire & Security
(openPR) - St Swithun’s School, Winchester, has once again renewed its maintenance contract with Chris Lewis Fire & Security (chrislewisfs. co.uk), for fire alarms and emergency lighting across its entire site. The school, which was founded in 1884, is set on a 45 acre campus overlooking the Hampshire Downs on the outskirts of Winchester, and comprises numerous buildings, including six boarding houses, a performing arts centre with a 600-seat auditorium, an art and technology block and a sports hall, as well as the usual classrooms and science laboratories.

Chris Lewis Fire & Security’s Chandler's Ford office has been servicing the school’s fire systems for over 15 years. Mike Covill, Branch Director, Chris Lewis Fire & Security, commented, “We have worked extensively with St Swithun’s over the years. As they have expanded and added buildings to the school, we have integrated these new fire alarms into their main system. We’ve also upgraded various aspects of the fire system over the years to ensure the students and staff get the best protection right across the site.”

Jim Ewing, Estate’s Manager at St Swithun’s, added, “The fire system maintenance service we get from Chris Lewis Fire & Security is to a very high standard. Their engineers are reliable, friendly and do an excellent job – even to the point of cleaning up after themselves. When we have any issues with our fire alarm (which is not very often) they are on site quickly and we can rest assured that our problems are resolved.”
