(Vienna, Feb 2006) Biometrix Int. offers with “BioPass” a new stand-alone Access Control System without the need of a PC. The BioPass Access Control System is simple to use for home door and/or garage locks in one-family or multiple-family houses and companies up to 9000 employees. Special features are the definition of time zone and duress trigger of fingerprint for different relay out.

The BioPass Access Control System is an innovative fingerprint system offering unparallel performance for physical access control using an award winning fingerprint recognition algorithm. Industry’s fastest identification speed of BioPass Access Control System eliminates the need of keys, cards or Pin’s even for large enrolments of more than thousands of users.

As a stand-alone fingerprint identification system, the BioPass Access Control System integrates fingerprint capturing, processing, identification and storage in one system. The BioPass Access Control System can connect to a PC via RS232C or RS485 network.

The BioPass Access Control System use an advanced biometric access reader equipped with award winning fingerprint recognition engine for fast one-to-many fingerprint identification. Enrolled with more than hundred of users, identification can be done in less than one second.

The BioPass Access Control System consists of an embedded fingerprint identification module with a 400 MHz DSP, memory for 9000 user and a Thermal-Sweep-Sensor, one RS232C and one RS485 interface and one tamper switch.

The BioPass Access Control System comes with an Access Controller for up to two BioPass with a LCD display, a numeric keypad for managing stand-alone registration and delete of user fingerprints, four relay’s and a build in RS232 to RS485 converter and a TCP/IP Ethernet port. The BioPass Access Control System needs an external power supply 9 -12V DC.
