Onepoint Announces Next Generation of PMI and IPMA-compliant Project Management Solutions
Onepoint Project 10 Enterprise Server significantly improves project monitoring, controlling and reporting; introduces iPad dashboard appGraz, May 6, 2010 – Onepoint Software, the leading vendor of easy-to-use enterprise project management (EPM) solutions, will release a new major version of its Web 2.0 EPM software on Monday. Apart from even easier access to relevant project information, Onepoint Project 10 Enterprise Server will feature many improvements in the areas of PMI and IPMA standards-compliant project monitoring and controlling, ad hoc reporting and resource management. Onepoint will also introduce a new way of accessing multi-project information via an EPM dashboard app for Apple’s iPad.
Based on direct customer feedback Onepoint has further streamlined the overall user interface in order to especially speed up navigation and discovery of monitoring and controlling information. Multiple project pipeline views with optionally automated traffic lights and a new cost progress-monitoring tool improve Onepoint’s already well received project monitoring functionalities. Resource management now allows for multiple resource hierarchies and introduces dynamic assignments of resource pools to projects. In addition, Onepoint´s “report wizard” for creating tabular ad hoc reports has been extended with matrix reports allowing the easy creation of time-based effort and budget breakdowns.
In addition, Onepoint aims at making formal project management even more convenient for users. All modules have been optimized according to the IPMA- and PMI norms. Specifically, the new version introduces Earned Value (EV) on the reporting level and further professionalizes the work breakdown structure (WBS) and all multi-section IPMA standard reports. Finally, Onepoint has updated the visual looks of its two most popular charts: the project pipeline and the interactive WBS. The new look represents a preview of the design used for the multi-project dashboard app “Onepoint ME” for Apple’s iPad that will be released later in May.
Onepoint Project 10 Group/Enterprise Server will be available to all Onepoint customers with a support and maintenance contract as of Monday, May 10. In addition, free 60-day test-drives will be made available on the Onepoint website. Desktop and SaaS versions will be released within the following two weeks.
