Preh to supply climate control systems for Ford F-250/F-350 trucks
Press release from: Preh, Inc.
PR Agency: Shazaaam! Public Relations
NOVI, Mich. – Preh, a leading supplier of automotive driver controls, sensors and electronic control units, is supplying the climate control system for the MY11 Ford F-250 and F-350 pickup trucks, according to Nick Lontscharitsch, president of Preh, Inc. in Novi, Michigan.
“After we developed the climate control system and climate controlling software for the F-150 truck in our very first order from Ford, we now can tie it to two models in the Super Duty series,“ Lontscharitsch said.
Like the current climate controls for the F-150, the control system for the F-250 and F-350 “big brothers“ also come from the Preh plant in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
For the Super Duty series, engineers employed an already proven Preh construction principle to keep the housing in the front of the climate control system dustproof. Penetration of liquids into the control unit is also prevented by the unique assembly of the button guides. In addition, for the rotary knobs of the fully automatic control system variant, Preh uses optical encoder technology, where the encoder is integrated directly onto the printed circuit board. This allows the tactile feel of the rotary knobs to be tailored exactly to customer requirements, fully independent from functional parts that would otherwise interfere with the tactile feel.
“We are proud of the fact that Ford turned again to Preh’s competence in sophisticated climate control systems for the F-250 and F-350,“ said Lontscharitsch, noting that “an intelligent assembly con¬cept makes manufacturing of the control system possible in eight variants on a single assembly line in our Mexican facility.”

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
