Thales Middle-East expands offices in the Dubai Airport Freezone

Building on a long-standing 30-year presence in the United Arab Emirates, Thales consolidates its presence in the UAE by joining its regional Middle East and UAE headquarters after a successful 10-year presence in the Dubai Airport Freezone.

The new offices in the Dubai Airport Freezone will bring together the teams from Thales’s regional Middle East and local UAE offices. Operational- and key project teams are now co-located in the same office, generating increased synergies and a stronger footprint to capture and deliver current and future business.
With over 500 people employed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the UAE is the cornerstone of Thales’s development in the Middle East. The numerous business successes in all four of the Group’s business segments – Aerospace and Space, Defence, Security – have allowed Thales to become a competitive and trusted partner of valued customers such as the RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) and the DCAA (Dubai Civil Aviation Authority).
By further consolidating its local presence and leveraging its role as an established provider of solutions in support of the ambitious economical development of the UAE, Thales has enjoyed a steady growth in employee numbers, thereby clearly signalling its long-term commitment to both the UAE and the Middle-East region.
