Data Center Performance Management Software Now Includes VMware Integration

MENLO PARK, CA, April 14, 2010 — nlyte Software, the leading provider of Data Center Performance Management (DCPM) solutions, today announced it has joined the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. The VMware TAP program helps technology vendors integrate their products with VMware virtualization software and deliver timely, joint solutions to mutual customers.

The nlyte DCPM suite helps companies reduce the cost and complexity of managing their data centers by providing the information needed to make informed decisions for the planning and effective management of data center assets, including both virtual and physical servers. Now with the new nlyte Integrator for VMware vCenter, nlyte enables enterprises to manage the VMware virtualized environment in the same way they do their other data center assets and physical infrastructure, allowing data center managers a single view across an entire infrastructure saving time and simplifying management.

“Virtualization brings added power to the data center, and just like any other resource, it needs to be managed properly in order to realize its advantages,” said James Stroehmann, Senior Unix Systems Administrator at ProQuest, a content aggregator that creates research solutions connecting people and information. “The nlyte DCPM solution integration to VMware vCenter Server provides us with the information we need to monitor Virtual Machines and their physical dependencies in our IT environment. This allows us to take control of both our virtual and physical environment, thereby reducing the complexity and cost of managing our data center.”

“We are excited to welcome nlyte Software as the newest member of the VMware TAP program,” said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware. “The VMware TAP program offers companies like nlyte Software the tools and resources they need to develop high-value solutions that meet the needs of our mutual customers.”

"VMware is the leader in virtualization which has become a standard in today’s modern data centers.” said Jon Temple, nlyte Software President and CEO. “We are excited to provide direct integration to VMware vCenter Server to customers so they can now realize the value of the nlyte DCPM solution across both physical and virtual resources thus optimizing their data center operations."

With more than 1,300 members worldwide, the VMware TAP program works with best-of-breed technology partners to provide them a comprehensive set of VMware technical and marketing services, support, tools and expertise to deliver enhanced value to joint customers.
