Hollywood Legend Teams Up with How-To Site: Stuntman Charlie Picerni in TVLesson Exclusive

Press release from: TVLesson

Brea, CA – What would Hollywood be without its stuntmen and women? Often uncredited in films and television shows, stuntmen and women are responsible for not only standing in as doubles for movie stars who are unable to pull off their own stunts, but sometimes even designing and directing entire segments of the movie itself.

One of Hollywood’s greatest, Charlie Picerni, started off as a stunt double for his brother, actor and television personality Paul Picerni. Breaking into the film industry in the early 1960s, just following the Golden Age of Hollywood, Picerni quickly went from stand-in to stunt double, to stunt coordinator and ultimately second unit director of films such as “15 Minutes” starring Robert Di Niro, and the “Lethal Weapon” film series. Picerni went on to direct his own films, while continuing his work as stunt double and coordinator for numerous films.

TVLesson recently caught up with Picerni in a series of exclusive interviews for the award-winning how-to website. Picerni’s account on TVLesson includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes reel of his work, as well as candid discussions on how he broke into the industry, and some of the challenges he faced while working on the set of DieHard 2.
