(openPR) - Mods4cars releases USB configuration program for SmartTOP Convertible Top Controllers that adds convenient adjustment of all preferences via PC to their universal Windows software.

For quite some time now Mods4cars has been shipping their SmartTOP modules equipped with a standard USB port, which allows the modules to be connected to any regular Windows PC. This provides a quick and easy way to update the module firmware right off the internet, improving the modules and their functionality with every firmware release.

The new Software m4cconnect v1.02 now offers even more convenience for all convertible lovers: The personal preferences stored in every SmartTOP module can now be read, changed and written back to the module – with only a couple of mouse clicks.

And just like before it is possible to display the current firmware version installed on each module, check for an update online and flash the module with the latest version if necessary. All module settings and manuals can now also be accessed directly from within the software.

This new software release offers even more convenience to all convertible owners who already have a SmartTOP module installed or are planning to get one in the future. Talking about a future-proof investment: After the initial purchase of a SmartTOP module all updates to the firmware are offered free of charge, making getting stuck with an outdated product a thing of the past.
