Polystar gave NSN Tunisia the all-clear
Press release from: Polystar T&M
NSN Tunisia contacted Polystar when they needed help to verify their network’s performance towards a customer. They hired a traffic simulator from Polystar and ran tests to check the quality of their service. By using Solver, Polystar’s load and stress testing tool, NSN Tunisia could assure their customer that the network would work perfectly fine when running real traffic.
“We faced network issues and proposed Polystar to deliver the traffic simulator”, says Hatem Kanoun, Care Program Manager at NSN Tunisia. “Solver was hired for a month, and included was also Polystar’s onsite support.”
The test scenario was to simulate GSM traffic (BSCs) connected to a MGW through STM1. Solver generated load on the MGW to check if the capacity of the MGW was sufficient, or if there were still bottlenecks that could lead to trouble when running real BCS traffic.
“Solver did a good and successful job to load the MGW correctly”, continues Hatem Kanoun. “We got a receipt that our network was working. My overall experience working with Polystar was very good”.
This is only one of way of using Solver. It can also be used to:
• test new software in the lab or in a live network
• identify and locate errors in network equipment
• verify conformance to industry standards
• ensure the interoperability of equipment from various vendors
• test functions and performance before going live
• identify stability problems when the network is under high load
• test reliability under various traffic conditions.
