Cluj-Napoca, Romania, March 18, 2010. CoSoSys, a leading developer of endpoint security and portable storage device applications, together with the Romanian Foundation for Children, Community and Family (FRCCF) launched today the License to Hope campaign (http://www.licensetohope.com), which aims to raise funds to support underprivileged children by offering them access to modern technology and education.

Children included in the FRCCF program have to face hunger, being homeless and the lack of proper guidance on a daily basis. FRCCF’s mission is to support and protect these vulnerable and often marginalized children and to make sure they grow in a welcoming home environment and receive the medical care and education they need. The License to Hope campaign target is to establish a computer lab equipped with 50 laptops featuring the latest software and hardware technology for children under the care of FRCCF, as well as financing and providing computer training.

In the following four months, CoSoSys will donate 50% of the revenue from all sold licenses for Secure it Easy, their endpoint security solution for small and medium businesses and home users. The funds will be used to launch and then support the computer lab and education center within FRCCF. Each person is thus offered the possibility to contribute to ensuring access to better education and a brighter future for children who currently lack such perspectives, while benefiting at the same time from a high end solution for computer and data security.

“We intend to use the 50 computers received through the License to Hope campaign to establish a lab and education center for about 150 children over the age of seven who will receive proper education and guidance each year. The center will give them the possibility to learn freely, to create, to build new relationships and get connected and to improve their chances of a better life,” said Paula Beudean, Romanian Foundation for Children, Community and Family representative.

“The License to Hope campaign mixes our genuine desire to help with the value brought by Security it Easy. Thus it is not focused on educating and helping children from underprivileged families alone, it is also part of our ongoing efforts to educate people in general about the importance of computer and data

security”, explained Roman Foeckl, CoSoSys CEO. “Being part of this campaign means playing a key role in a brighter future for these children as well as providing a safer working environment for one’s company or for themselves. Getting through to more people who understand this double benefit is what will make this campaign a success.”

Secure it Easy is an easy to install endpoint security software that helps protect notebooks and PCs in small and home offices as well as home users from portable storage device threats. It allows users to lock down USB Ports in seconds and give them the control they need over their PC’s endpoint devices. They can thus use their USB flash drives, memory cards, digital camera, smart phones or iPods, while successfully preventing data loss and leakage or USB spread malware infections.
