TiSUN modul collectors on the roof of the main building of Hotel Olira catch the sun’s rays for hot domestic demand and swimming pools and cover 99% of the hot water demand
(openPR) - The Olira Boutique Hotel in Bodrum, Turkey, uses solar warmth to heat water for showers and baths and for the pool complex, captured by a TiSUN solar system
This recently renovated hotel on the Aegean coast is particularly proud of its recreation and wellness area where it pampers its guests with a range of different water features.
56 m2 TiSUN FM-W module collectors supply solar heat to three Pro-Clean® solar stratified tanks with spherical exchanger and a BE-SSP hot water tank. The solar stratified tanks each hold 1,500 litres and the hot water tank 800 litres.
The Boutique Hotel Olira in south-west Turkey uses the TiSUN solar system very efficiently. During the day, the solar stratified tanks stratify all the solar energy in the basement of the main building and supply hot water for baths and showers for 100 guests in the evening. The swimming pools act as a storage medium, so the system’s capacity is fully utilised and it runs very economically. Mounted on the roof where it is inconspicuous to the guests, the solar system from Tyrolean solar specialists TiSUN supplies almost 100% of the hot water needed for baths, showers, the pool complex and the wellness area.
Bünyamin Altindag, owner of the Boutique Hotel, states his reasons for choosing the solar heating system: “We decided to invest in solar heating because we are convinced that it will pay for itself in a very short time. We are also concerned about the environment. Our guests love nature and are more likely to visit Bodrum/Turkey again if we look after the natural environment.“
The amortisation time is 3.5 years. After this time, the hotel will continue to use free, infinitely available solar power for two decades and enjoy massive savings on energy costs.
TiSUN has been developing, producing and selling solar collectors and solar stratified cylinders for 21 years. The solar systems provide 100% independent, infinitely available, free solar energy for heating, cooling, hot water and process heat. As a solar heating specialist, TiSUN has an export quota of 83%. Based in the Austrian Tyrol, TiSUN is an innovation and market leader with a workforce of 131 at its headquarters in Söll and 90 sales personnel in Europe. The products are available on 42 markets in EU27, the Community of Independent States (CIS), the Middle East and Maghreb (North West Africa).
