(openPR) - The University of Belgrade, in Serbia, founded in 1808 is one of the oldest educational institutions in the Balkans with more than 90,000 students.
Delta Energy Systems (Germany) GmbH has a partnership on solar projects for 2 years with the university. In the faculty of electrical engineering, Delta co-operates with one professor (Zoran Radakovic) and two students (Marko Sorgic and Dragan Stamenkovic). They define standards for R&D and work on specific software tools to improve them. They also introduce new and more efficient tools to implement them to solar applications as well as to medical and industrial applications.
The main project regarding solar development is a new solar string inverter. The project is planned to be finished in the 4th quarter of 2010. But hopefully the partnership will continue as Delta benefits from this partnership in many ways.
The University has 31 faculties, 8 scientific research institutes and a system of university libraries and information centers.
