(openPR) - With CENTAFLEX-R, CENTA will be presenting an exceptionally robust coupling for hydrostatic and hybrid drives at this year’s bauma. The coupling was developed for extreme heavy-duty applications where the load is increased with growing performance.
The construction machinery industry is now showing a significant trend toward drive solutions that reduce consumption, emission and noise. CENTA accommodates this trend with its robust CENTAFLEX-R for torque ranges of 0,25 to 15 kNm. The highly flexible roller coupling was designed for ultimate heavy-duty applications and is suitable for use in hydrostatic as well as in hybrid drives.
The CENTAFLEX-R has a progressive stiffness characteristic. With only minor stiffness under lower load, the torsional vibrations are shifted to ranges below idle speed. Annoying gear chatter is suppressed. The stiffness of the coupling gently adapts as the load increases. With rollers of different lengths and quantities, the torsional stiffness can be adjusted to the particular application and torsional vibration within wide limits – ideal for drive solutions where the load is increased with growing performance.
A special-design temperature-resistant elastomer allows reliable application of the coupling in settings with high ambient temperatures of more than 100 °C [212 °F]. The roller coupling owes its high allowable energy loss to intensive inner and outer ventilation. The HD-version even features oil-resistant rubber rollers to meet the requirements demanded by extremely difficult applications.
The CENTAFLEX-R will be showcased at the bauma in Munich, from April 19-25, 2010. You can meet CENTA in hall A4 at stand 219.
Since 1970, the international CENTA group has been engaged in solving challenging drive train and torsional vibration challenges. Whether designing simple applications or complex systems: The 20 types of flexible couplings, drive shafts and supplementary products with their numerous variations provide optimal results without compromise. Due to its various innovations, the company today ranks among the world’s leading manufacturers of flexible couplings and drive shafts for industry and marine applications as well as for power generation.
