Locanto launched its classified sites for mobile phone users this month, offering its free classified ads portals for mobile web users around the world.

March 03, 2010 – Locanto classifieds launched the beta version of its mobile classifieds sites this month, allowing mobile users to access the free classifieds platform through their cellular phone anytime and anywhere.

The Locanto sites (http://www.locanto.com/) offer local classifieds with the conviction that classifieds services should be fast, simple, free, and accessible at all times.

“The increasing usage of the Internet on mobile devices as well as the growing demand for a free and easy to use online classifieds site have strengthened us in our decision to launch Locanto in a mobile version”, says Klaus Gapp, CEO and founder of Yalwa, the Local Internet Company behind Locanto Classifieds. He adds: “Many people enjoy the comfort of surfing the Internet through their cellphones irrespective of their location. The Locanto mobile sites are a quick and effective way to use a free classifieds site at all times.”

In the beta version, the Locanto mobile sites (http://m.locanto.com/) will allow the browsing and searching of classifieds in 38 countries and over 1000 major cities around the globe. Classified ads that are posted on the Locanto website (http://www.locanto.com/) will automatically appear on the mobile version of Locanto as well, giving users maximum exposure for their classified ad.
