(openPR) - Dublin, 20 October 2006 (sof) Today the management of Stories of Faith Ltd., Dublin, appointed Professor Karl-Josef Kuschel from Tuebingen University into the company’s Advisory Board. The Irish media firm sets out to produce six feature films, TV films, an internet portal, books, games etc. to facilitate knowledge about the large world religions to an international audience.

The catholic theologian Kuschel researches mainly in the fields of Theology of Culture and Interfaith Dialogue. His acclaimed book Abraham: Sign of Hope for Jews, Christians and Muslims was published internationally. In 1995 Kuschel was appointed Vice President of the Global Ethic Foundation, which works for the Parliament of the World’s Religions. The Foundation’s founder and president Hans Küng has always pointed out the importance of interfaith dialogue during the new millennium.

As the first member of the Advisory Board to the Irish production firm the political scientist Prof. Bassam Tibi from Cornell University (New York), was appointed in July of this year. As a tribute to his dialogue between cultures he was named “Man of the Year” by the Biographical Institute (USA) in 1997 and received the Bundesverdienstkreuz Erster Klasse in 1995. This is the highest state decoration in the Federal Republic of Germany. The Syrian-born Tibi developed the concepts of “Leitkultur“ (Guiding Culture) and Euro-Islam.
