Appia to Acquire Assets of Connect Communications
Press release from: Appia Communications
(openPR) - Based in Indianapolis, Connect brings 25 years of experience in providing business communications services, with a specialization in multitenant offices.
INDIANAPOLIS – February 23, 2010 – Appia Communications announced today that it has entered into a letter of intent to purchase the assets of Connect Communications, a business communications provider based in Indianapolis.
Appia, a nationwide provider of managed communication and networking services, expects the acquisition to be completed shortly.
“We have worked with Connect’s owners for several years,” said Victor von Schlegell, Appia’s president. “They have focused mainly on the multitenant office market, which is a great opportunity for Appia, not only in Indianapolis but elsewhere.”
Connect’s Ed Forester said that the acquisition makes good sense for both companies. “Connect has a strong sales and service organization, and Appia brings us a lot more data and voice-over-Internet expertise,” Forester said. “We’ll have more ways to serve our customers.”
