Cockpit4u - cooperation agreement has been signed with FORTAS Group
Press release from: Cockpit4u Aviation Service GmbH
Cockpit4u announced today that a cooperation agreement has been signed with FORTAS Group for the development and implementation of a Fuel Management Training (FMT) platform for airlines and corporate operators.
The program addresses the fuel management options pilots have, in all phases of flight. By auditing the existing fuel conservation policies of airlines, our team can pin-point where fuel is misused and correct the situation by direct training to flight crews. This platform has been thought, tried and tested on Flight Simulators and an A320 airline in Western Europe, with confirmed fuel economy of 3 to 4%. With these numbers, the ROI is set for far less than one year and makes-this product an instrumental tool in the Flight Ops restructuring process, most airlines are currently going through.
FORTAS CEO, Mr. Claude Fortin: “… at the same time, we are always seeking to reduce costs for our clients and as we reorganize their Maintenance and Operations structure to make them leaner, fuel management was a department we couldn’t supply them with a solution, until now!”
Mr. Dennis Pilz, MD of Cockpit4u said: “FORTAS is a great partner in the development of this product as it also comes with a very interesting distribution/clients network, consisting of Airlines, OEMs and Corporate Operators.”
Mr. Stefan Heuss, MD and Head of Training Cockpit4u: “Fuel consumption is a major cost to any airline, and airlines need to focus their attention on this in order to maintain their operation profitable. With the introduction of fuel saving related topics during the simulator training we help them to achieve the cost-saving targets.”
