Museum visitors can discover the numerous highlights of the museum individually or together with the Dali_Scouts during provided guided tours taking place hourly.
Berlin, August 22nd 2018. "Dalí - The Exhibition at Potsdamer Platz", already existing in its tenth museum year, opens its doors once again at the evening of the Long Night of Museums to invite visitors to immerse themselves in the surreal world of Salvador Dalí until late at night on Saturday, August 25th 2018.
One of the "50 Secrets of Magic Craftsmanship" that Salvador Dalí postulated in 1948 reveals "The Secret of Sleep While Awake". According to this motto, the museum guests can expect a surreal sleepless night at DalíBerlin.
With more than 450 original exhibits, the museum provides a deep insight in Dalí’s virtuoso mastery in almost all techniques of art. One will find among others art works for which Dalí drove a steamroller over a sewing machine or set off bombs filled with nails as well as works for which Dalí shot on lithography stones with an arquebus and thus founded the so-called “bulletism”.
Visitors can see all this during the Long Night of Museums at "Dalí - The Exhibition at Potsdamer Platz" directly in Berlin's vibrant center. During express tours, a guide will introduce Dalí’s experimental and fascinating work. A proven Dalí expert will draw attention to typical and surprising details during the short tours, which are free of charge on this day. The special tours takes part hourly in German and English as follows: 6:30–6:50 p.m. (GER), 7:30–7:50 p.m. (ENG), 8:30–8:50 p.m. (GER), 9:30–9:50 p.m. (ENG), 10:30–10:50 p.m. (GER) and at 11:30–11:50 p.m. (GER).

The regular opening hours of the museum on Saturday, August 25th will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be closed for one hour due to last preparations for the Long Night of Museums, which will start at 6:00 p.m. Last entry with a ticket for the Long Night of Museums is at 1 a.m.

Dalí – Die Ausstellung am Potsdamer Platz

With more than 450 original exhibits, provided by private collectors all over the world, the museum and cultural highlight “Dalí – Die Ausstellung am Potsdamer Platz” offers for the first time ever an extensive insight into Dalí’s fascinating oeuvre, and does so right in Berlin’s lively center. The museum in Berlin is a purely private, guided art museum, which would like to give deeper insights beyond the ordinary in an edutainment manner. „COME INTO MY BRAIN“, Dalí called upon the masses and he invited the audience to immerse in his surreal mind. Dalí is considered to be one of the most ingenious artists of modernity who staged his works and himself in the most spectacular way. The museum visitors will get an extensive insight into Salvador Dalís virtuosity and mastership of almost every technique of art.
For example, Dalí worked with bombs filled with nails, he invented the bulletism by shooting on stones and he created his most extensive work ever for the illustrations of Dante’s Divine Comedy, which was commissioned by the Italian government.
Among this probably most comprehensive and representative overview of the graphic works, the museum shows work portfolios, illustrated books, sculptures, numismatics and three-dimensional installations of the surrealist artist.
Dalí experts, the so-called Dalí_Scouts, facilitate the unique journey into Dalí’s mind in the museum by initiating a dialogue during pre-booked tours and public guided tours taking place five times a day at fixed hours.
