Chicago Hospitality Technology and Marketing Company Joins

“As Haiti relief efforts face major challenges, a Chicago based hospitality technology and marketing company pledges to contribute to the cause and keep the donations running”

Chicago, United States – Wednesday 27th January 2010: A host of logistical problems at the Port-au-Prince airport has led to delays in the supply of relief contributions. Despite the problems and delay, it is evident that the amount of donation is still not enough.

Amid death and destruction brought by the earthquake, the International committee of Red Cross is working in close cooperation with its partners, particularly the Haitian Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Smaller efforts such as that of ODISSIA Corporation, a Chicago based hospitality technology and marketing company have been critical in the efforts to relieve Haiti of its current situation. As of now, ODISSIA will be donating 10% from its each project to the Red Cross for the Haiti relief campaign.

“The situation in Haiti is distressing and we express sympathy for everyone impacted by the earthquake,” says John Marling, CEO of ODISSIA Corporation. “Beyond offering our prayers for the victims, one of the best ways to contribute is through financial assistance of the Haitian relief efforts. We are so moved with the situation that we immediately pledged to donate 10% from each of our project to Red Cross for the cause.”

Founded in 2007, ODISSIA Corporation believes that philanthropy is absolutely the right thing to do. As of yet, it is difficult to tell how much difference will the efforts from small organizations will make. However, it seems that even the smallest contribution is significant and perhaps the solution to providing swift and streamlined aid in Haiti.
