Vatican News: Papal Knight Speaks on Pope Benedict XVI and Religious Freedom
Press release from: Imperato-Brooks 2008
Los Angeles – September 24, 2006 - Today Papal Knight and 2008 US Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato spoke out regarding the recent statements of Pope Benedict XVI and religious freedom.
“I call on the world today, particularly the Christians and the Muslims, to realize that our Pope Benedict XVI has made a mistake in addressing the issue of Prophet Muhammad during his trip to his hometown Regensburg, Germany. As a born Catholic and Papal Knight with family in the Middle East and serious understanding of Christianity, Judaism, and Islamic religions, I believe that our Pope has apologized for his mistake which is to be understood by the world based upon mutual respect and understanding.”
Imperato felt that the Pope’s recent statements were not in line with those of late Pope John Paul II, who espoused a philosophy of mutual respect and achieved great cooperation with the other major religions of the world.
The statements that were made, according to Imperato, should have only been made under a closed door meeting with inter-religious leaders.
“While I accept the apologies from our Pope Benedict, I make a strong statement for him to continue to reconcile the relations and to remember that such derogatory comments should not be made in public especially from our Pope. Any statements of such if were made should have been in a closed room with the religious leaders from all religions commenting, dissecting, and reviewing the words of such message, the interpretation of such message, and the outcome of what the message would bring.”
As a solution to this problem, Imperato proposed an inter-religious strategic studies committee to help solve some of the issues that exist amongst the major faiths of the world.
“As the next president of the United States of America, I stand up to state that if I was president today, I would have immediately called on an inter-religious, bilateral, strategic studies meeting by and between the leaders of the religious world with the intentions to complete the true meaning and interpretation of the written word. While I am not an expert in this area I am certainly well-informed.”
Imperato stated that the original scriptures of all faith have been altered and modified and that only an inter-religious group can study the original words of the scriptures and their original meanings.
“One thing I do know is that the beginning of times clearly describes the word of God and the description of all prophets. So the time has now come that the highest level of intelligence from the leaders of the religious organizations to come together to interpret the word of God and bring clarity to the hearts, minds, and souls of the people of the world for a true understanding of the original word of God.”
“Throughout time there have been sectors of society that utilized its religious freedom to change the original words and meanings of people like Jesus, Prophet Muhammad and others to be described and camouflaged as the word of God. There are many versions of the Bible, the Torah, and the Koran, with alterations coming from King James to Constantine.”
Imperato concluded his statement with the following, “I believe that its time that the experts dig deep into the origin and meaning of the foundation from the beginning of times. The interpretation of what was meant in those times and a clear and concise dissected version of the word of God must be disclosed amongst the religious leaders collectively with mutual respect for each other and a respect for all.”
