(openPR) - Austin, TX – atsec information security is proud to announce the successful GSA FIPS 201 evaluations of several Electromagnetically Opaque Sleeves for Brady People ID, leading to these products being listed on the GSA FIPS 201 Approved Products List (APL).
Brady People ID’s badge holders protect Federal Government Personal Identity Verification badges (or PIV cards) against skimming attacks attempting to gain unauthorized access to information contained on them. The successful evaluation and validation of these products provides assurance that the information on the badges is effectively protected when kept in the badge holders.
Apostol Vassilev, CST Lab Manager for atsec information security, said, “atsec performed these evaluations with strong commitment to quality of testing in view of the sensitive nature of the information protected by these products, in particular when Federal personnel may be operating in hostile environments.”
The Electromagnetically Opaque Sleeves were tested and evaluated in atsec's Austin, TX lab following the GSA FIPS 201 Evaluation Program - Electromagnetically Opaque Sleeve Approval Procedure Version 11.0.0 June 17, 2009.
