“Inside Business Review” show to feature "American Heartland Series"
Press release from: News from Asia
December 22, 2009, Coral Springs, FL – The producers of "Inside Business Review" are pleased to announce the new "American Heartland Series", focusing on the newest challenges facing America's oldest industry: farming.
Productivity is still the benchmark of American farming. The more than 2.2 million farms in America today not only feed, fuel and cloth a nation, they indeed do as much for the world. America remains one of the few net exporters of food in the world.
Modern agronomy, plant breeding, pesticides and fertilizers, and technological improvements have sharply increased yields from cultivation, and at the same time caused widespread ecological damage and negative human health effects. Selective breeding and modern practices in animal husbandry have similarly increased the output of meat, but raised concerns about the health effects of the antibiotics, growth hormones, and other chemicals commonly used in industrial meat production.
Then too, there are the competing interests spurred by the sheer variety of agricultural products grown in the U.S. In a sense, we are a victim of our own success with foods, fibers, fuels, raw materials, pharmaceuticals and stimulants, among the growing list of vital commodities produced in the heartland today.
"Inside Business Review" treks into the nation's heartland to uncover the trends that continue to drive farming into the future.
Topics for the "American Heartland Series" include:
• Improving Profitability and Productivity for the 21st Century Farmer
• The Land Use Dilemma: Innovative Solutions for the Production of Food, Feed and Fuel
• Precision Farming Through Intelligent Control and Automation Technology
"Inside Business Review" identifies business-to-business stories for television and Internet content, and educates viewers on a wide-variety of emerging concepts. As a powerful engine of change, "Inside Business Review" broadens perspectives, erases boundaries and opens up new avenues for progress. With fresh content interlaced throughout each series, viewers will gain insight on opportunities for their families, businesses, lifestyles, and financial futures.
