Heimtextil goes City on Saturday, 16 January 2010

Press release from: Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH
(openPR) - Interior decorators are Insiders at Heimtextil 2010

Over 30 interior decorators, book shops, galleries and cultural facilities to take part in the “Saturday of the Senses”

As part of Heimtextil, which opens its doors to the international home and contract textile sector from 13 to 16 January 2010, “Heimtextil goes City” invites all consumers with an interest in interior decorating to get a feeling for the international trade fair in downtown Frankfurt. For the sixth time, Heimtextil and the Frankfurt Interior Decorators’ Guild (Raumausstatterinnung Frankfurt) are organizing the “Saturday of the Senses” and will present the latest trends from the worldwide home and household textiles sector for consumers. More than 30 interior decorators, specialist bed stores, book shops and galleries will open their doors from 09.00 to 18.00 hrs and, under the motto, ‘Style’, will show inspiring creations, innovative materials and the latest home-fashion trends.

Interior design has long since left the realms of ‘home sweet home’ and now brings together creativity, marketing expertise and con¬sultancy. No longer is target-group oriented interior design simply left to chance. Hoteliers, shop owners and restaurant proprietors, as well as operators of office building, congress and conference centres and care and rehabilitation facilities, have discovered the contract business. In 2010, Heimtextil will focus more on this expanding field with numerous special shows, lecture forums, discussions and guided tours on this subject. “For more than three years, the ‘Contract Creations’ segment of Heimtextil has provided clear guidelines for all aspects of the contract business with interior textiles and we are underscoring this development with Heimtextil goes City”, explains Ulrike Wechsung, Director, Heimtextil, Messe Frankfurt.

Interior decorators are Insiders at Heimtextil 2010
“Interior decorators are not only important for Heimtextil goes City. They are also a vital target group for us and our exhibitors because they are closer than anybody else to the end customers. Thus, we are launching a special programme for German interior decorators called “Heimtextil Insider” at the coming Heimtextil”, adds Ulrike Wechsung. Registrations for this exclusive programme can be made via the internet at www.heimtextil-insider.com until 5 January 2010. Registered interior decorators will enjoy a wide range of privileges during the trade fair. Thus, in addition to a special ‘Insider Lounge’ with free refreshments, they will also benefit from a welcome package with their personal membership card and a book of vouchers, as well as free admission to the fair, daily ‘Insider News’, personal advice and a guided tour of the Heimtextil Trend Show in the Forum.

Over 30 interior decorators, book shops, galleries and cultural facilities to take part in the “Saturday of the Senses”
Besides interior decorators, numerous book shops and galleries will open their doors and present new products for the coming season under the motto, ‘Style’. In the ‘Palmengarten’ botanical gardens, there will be guided tours entitled “Natural Colours” – the tour of the tropical greenhouses will focus on the wide variety of plant colours and answer questions about their function in the natural world and how natural plant colours get into wool and textiles. The DialogMuseum will be part of Heimtextil goes City for the first time in 2010 and give visitors the chance to investigate the qualities of a variety of fabrics by touch in the dark and guess what they are.
