(openPR) - PLANO, TX—December 10, 2009 -- Inova Family Physicians, long a trusted name in quality medical care, has moved to the new Hedgcoxe Health Plaza building at 2100 Hedgcoxe Road in Plano, Texas, and expanded into two practices under one roof. Inova Family Physicians will continue under its current practice name, while a second practice, AIM for Wellness, will specialize in adult internal medicine.
Inova Family Physicians is comprised of the team of Dr. Ansuya Kumar and Dr. James Hinton III, both of whom are Family Practice physicians, along with Shelley Loomstein, PA. The practice serves patients of all ages.
The new AIM for Wellness provides a distinctive medical option for Texas adults. Headed by Paul Brooks Anthony, M.D., a 2009 D Magazine Best Doctor who was formerly with Inova, AIM creates a special healthcare destination for adults and seniors, including Secure Horizons and HealthSpring patients.
Dr. Anthony is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gerontology, and serves as Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Joining Dr. Anthony is Dr. Stephanie Marie Berg, a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician. Dr. Anthony and Dr. Berg have also welcomed Dr. Ghufran Ahmed to the practice. With a Fellowship in Rheumatology, Dr. Ahmed brings an added dimension to the AIM concept. Patients can also rely on the expertise of Kristi Harding, PA, Traci Muirheid, PA and Christine Peebles, PA.
MedicalEdge Healthcare Group, P.A., which helped build the successful Inova practice, was also instrumental in the AIM facility concept. AIM expounds on the vision of MedicalEdge president, Dr. Clay Heighten, for an adult internal medicine practice that caters to more Medicare and Medicare Advantage plan patients. However, AIM accepts adults of all ages and members of most insurance plans.

Both practices offer expanded ancillary services that enable patients to obtain a variety of onsite tests, if needed, and receive more attention from onsite specialists. These services include DEXA (Bone Density testing), nerve conduction, on-site audiology, X-ray and physical therapy.
