(openPR) - Olching, 30th November 2009: serVonic’s fax server solution now is available under Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. IXI-UMS is fully integrated into the latest Microsoft Exchange version. “With Exchange 2010, the fax feature offered for the Exchange Server 2007 has been omitted,” Karin Abrell, Manager Marketing/PR at serVonic, describes one of the essential changes. “As a long-term Microsoft Partner and fax specialist, we can offer IXI-UMS in parallel with the introduction of the Exchange Server 2010 as highly integrative fax server solution.”
The client/server fax solution of the Olching-based software manufacturer is integrated into the Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory architecture via the IXI-UMS Exchange 2010 Connector. Changes, extensions of the schema or installations at the Exchange Server are not necessary. IXI-UMS is not only integrated into Microsoft Exchange 2010, but into all the Exchange Server versions as well as in IBM Lotus Domino. That way, customers can migrate to a new Exchange version gradually without having to change the fax server.
“IXI-UMS as fax server for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 offers the advantage that companies are not committed to particular hardware,“ Karin Abrell tells about the flexible application possibilities of the software solution. IXI-UMS can be installed on a standard machine, a suitable gateway or on virtual servers. The PBX-connection can be realized via ISDN/Q.SIG as well as via SIP/H.323. Further highlight: IT-near and PBX-near components can be implemented independent of each other. serVonic therewith offers the possibility to serve several sites optimally, for example when a central fax server shall be realized for local distributed PBX’s.

The IXI-UMS Exchange 2010 Connector now is available at serVonic and sales partners. Installation requirement: IXI-UMS Kernel Version 5.82.
