(openPR) - Swedish Survey Recognizes LISTSERV®, Software Provider

Stockholm, November 23, 2009 – L-Soft – the company behind LISTSERV, the original email list management software – is one of 10 top workplaces for gender equality and opportunities for women, according to a survey by Veckans Affärer (Swedish Business Week), a leading business journal.

“This award confirms what I have always known: IT companies do not need any kind of a 10-point program to attract and retain women. All that’s needed is a simple one-point policy: always hire the best candidate. L-Soft has done this since 1994, and women have consistently held about half of the top positions throughout the company's history. The survey recognizes L-Soft among the top 10 employers with 200 or fewer employees. Only 10 smaller companies, including L-Soft, were named among Sweden’s best workplaces. The comprehensive survey by Veckans Affärer maps 49 different parameters of workplace gender equality. Factors such as gender distribution of managers, employment status, parental leave and equality policies were analyzed.
