(openPR) - For immediate release…August 21st…Los Angeles…Darwin Chamber, veteran Audio Producer and pioneer of 3D sound, has moved to Hawaii to record his next 3D environment album highlighting natural sounds from the Hawaiian Islands.
“I chose to record in Hawaii because the islands offer so many exotic sounds”, says Chamber. “The beauty of Hawaii can be captured through 3D sound”.
Darwin Chamber’s 3D environment tracks are unlike anything else available on the market. To be different he starts with real natural sound sequences as a background and then layers it with other raw sounds found in that environment. Processing it with proprietary software, at the end, the finished digitized track puts the listener at the scene of the recording. It has a true three dimensional effect (does not sound like a flat wall of sound – you’ve got to hear it!).
“I trick your ear into believing that sound is hitting it from unusual angles and from different areas”, said Chamber.
Darwin Chamber lives in Princeville, Kauai and will be visiting each of the Hawaiian Islands to record and capture their unique sounds. Some sites include: the rainforest and waterfalls in Oahu, the volcano at the Big Island, the beaches at Maui, and the coral reefs and birds at Kauai.
His "environments" will be featured in immersive futures workshops for Hawaii 2050, a participatory experiment in developing environmentally conscious governance for the island state. Participants will be immersed in four alternative versions of the year 2050, developed by the Hawaii Research Center for Futures Studies. This experience will be enhanced by the sounds of Darwin Chamber, deepening the imaginative and dramatic staging of these alternative future worlds. The collaboration of HRCFS and Darwin Chamber is intended to encourage more creative and open community discussion about potential changes in the islands, and to help generate shared, practical visions of preferred futures. The kickoff event for Hawaii 2050 will be broadcast live across all the Hawaiian Islands, and takes place on August 26 from 9am-3pm.
A number of Darwin Chamber's albums recently hit #1 on iTunes charts, most notably, his 3D Thunderstorm Environment album spent almost every week in the top 10 this past year.
Some of his other 3D albums include 3D Rainforest Environment, 3D Rain Environment, and 3D Songbird Environment.
