(openPR) - COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Academy Women’s Healthcare, the Pikes’ Peak Region premier provider of ob/gyn and women’s health care, has just entered an agreement to accept leading regional carrier Kaiser Permanente as an insurance provider. The deal, which takes effect January 1, 2010, represents a major addition to the group’s already extensive list of insurance and payment options.
“We’re proud to serve our patients and the community more effectively by accepting Kaiser Permanente coverage,” said Academy Women’s Healthcare president David Stark. Serving Colorado Springs since 1993, Academy Women’s Healthcare has just delivered its 20,000th infant. The family-centered ob/gyn practice boasts a new location at the NorthCare Complex adjacent to the new St. Francis Medical Center, connected via skyway to the hospital’s birthing center. They offer a wealth of expert treatment and medical services, including both low and high risk OB comprehensive care, on-site ultrasounds, and minimally invasive surgery options.
Kaiser Permanente is the state’s top-ranked commercial health care, according to a recent study conducted by US News and World Report and the National Committee for Quality Assurance. One of the region’s largest providers, the company recently earned recognition from J.D. Powers and Associates recognition for “highest customer satisfaction” among all Colorado health plans.
