(openPR) - Solutions for Media´s Video Production Management System (VPMS) will play a central role for German public broadcaster Radio Bremen. In cooperation with the companies BFE (general contractor) and d´accord S4M arranges for a trimedial workflow in Radio Bremen’s new built broadcasting center. That way TV, radio and Internet are covered similarly.
S4M’s VPMS covers the complete video handling, i.e. ingest (controlling of the recording process of video signals), browsing (viewing video material on the desktop), rough cut as well as the complete video material management (management of both the LoRes storage for preview material and the HiRes storage for high resolution broadcast video material.
The specific characteristic of this trimedial System is that essences for TV, Radio and Internet are available at the same time and that exchange among the three types of media is possible as well. This opens synergies to the broadcaster and provides faster and more effective information for viewers, listeners and web-users.
Radio Bremen
is the German public broadcaster for the federal state Bremen. Radio Bremen produces TV programs for the nation wide channel “Erstes Deutsches Fernsehen” as well as an own pre-primetime TV-program, operates NDR TV together with “Norddeutscher Rundfunk” and provides TV programs to NDR TV, arte, 3sat, Phoenix and Kinderkanal. Radio Bremen produces four own Radio-programs - two of them are partner cooperated programs - and also a comprehensive webpage. The program is generated at two different places, in Bremen-Vahr (radio) and Bremen-Osterholz (TV). Additionally Radio Bremen maintains a regional studio in Bremerhaven. The new Radio Bremen buildings in the western part of Bremen will be accomplished in autumn 2007.
