The Associates of Applied Science (AAS) Degree curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the bookkeeping and accounting with greater emphasis on financial statements and account management.

Affiliated with ORT Operations USA, Los Angeles ORT College provides high caliber of education with comprehensive understanding in business and accounting. In the list of AAS degree program, the courses such as merchandise and payroll accounting, cost accounting, depreciation, partnership, tax preparation, corporate accounting, creating reports, and database management applications is also added.

Apart from getting knowledge about the core concepts of accounting, the students will also learn the skills how to work in professional business settings. The program provides with expanded knowledge and understanding of general education courses which are beneficial the students to interact within their community and beyond. The program facilitates students to learn all the accounting skills in practitioner’s stance and emphasize more on applying accounting and financial management theories and skills to real life applications. On the other hand, associate degree in accounting offers students a high level proficiency in accountancy.

At the college, the students are trained with appropriate equipment coherent with requirements of the job market. Degree in accounting program is taught 4 days per week for approximately 76 weeks of instruction. The AAS degree program is a 65 semester credit hour program or 1200 classroom hours and may be offered in the morning, afternoon or evening sessions.
