(openPR) - At the 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (PVSEC), from 21 to 24 September 2009 in Hamburg, Montech presented specific solutions for the transport and handling of wafers, cells and carriers.
With over 40,000 visitors, PVSEC was one of the major exhibitions for the photovoltaic industry this year. In Hamburg, 943 manufacturers, suppliers and service providers from all around the world exhibited their innovations on a 65.000 sqm area.
At their stand, Montech exhibited seven different belt conveyors and the Montrac transport system, to show their expertise and know-how in the handling and transport of wafers, cells and carriers. “Our products are based on Montech’s longstanding experience in transport technology and are known for their high quality,” said Gianluca Aloisi, Manager Conveyors, Montech.
Besides wafer conveyors, unloading conveyors, swiveling conveyors, removal module, process conveyors and centering conveyors, particular interested was aroused by vacuum conveyor. “The key benefits of vacuum conveyor compared to wafer conveyors are a more dynamic acceleration and braking curve and higher transport speed,” said Aloisi. The most important innovation for all belt conveyors is that wafers and/or cells are no longer picked from above, thus avoiding the risk of micro cracks.
At PVSEC, Montech introduced the Montrac system for the first time to the photovoltaic industry. Montrac allows to link different process stages, as well as to automated warehouse logistics and optimize the productivity of production lines in the solar industry.
