The Technology Leader in Vulnerability Assessment and Management

KARLSKRONA, Sweden – October 27, 2009 – Outpost24, the Technology Leader in On-Demand Vulnerability Management solutions, today announced its participation in the ENISA roadshow event at the end of October in support of Hessen Agency while they introduce their online safety analysis tool to an audience of micro-enterprises and business owners.

Hessen Agentur GmbH was chosen by ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency) to develop a “Security Toolkit for Intermediaries and/or Multiplier organizations of Micro Enterprises.” The main tool consists among others of an online-assessment tool that can be used to start and continue a risk-management process in a micro-enterprise. Outpost24’s Tave Chapman, who has participated in Hessen-IT events and helped to raise awareness about the importance of IT security and vulnerability management, was asked to join in the peer-review expert group of the "Arbeitskreis Forum Hessen-IT", a working group of IT-security professionals who tested the online-tool at alpha status.

Tave Chapman, Sales Office Manager Outpost24 Frankfurt, was quoted as saying:

“The prevention of unauthorized access to the IT network is an important task in everyday business for all companies, regardless of their size. This new security toolkit will help small and micro enterprises learn about their security status and choose the relevant next steps in ascertaining the highest possible security level to prevent data losses, industrial espionage and to comply with the BDSG.”

As part of the peer-review group for the ENISA project, Outpost24’s Tave Chapman will participate in the roadshow event, which will take place during the last week of October in three locations in Hessen, and will give a presentation on “The Dangers of Human Errors in IT Networks”. During the event, the Hessen Agency will introduce and demonstrate the safety analysis tool to participants through a workshop and will allow them a chance to have their own individual security analysis created at the event.
