(openPR) - Roy Buol, Mayor of Dubuque, the beautiful hilly city where Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois meet, will at 11am August 4 declare open the 2006 Christian Book Fair International featuring Christian authors, publishers, others from across the US and overseas at the John F. Kennedy Mall Dubuque.
The three-day Christian book marketing, sales, networking and personal ministry event organized by Coralville Iowa-based Family Reading Ministries, Inc. coincides with the Iowa tax free weekend when thousands of shoppers come from across Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois to shop at the high traffic mall.
The mall's average daily traffic of 15,000 visitors goes way up during the book fair and exhibitors are situated at the heart of the mall where such visitors will see them. There are also a number of free seminars and giveaways which are expected to attract a lot of people.
"We are always grateful to God for the opportunity to connect book lovers with Christian authors, book publishers and others associated with the book indsutry," notes event founder Rev. Paschal Eze.
Exhibitors at this year's book fair include "Is God A Chauvinist?" author Rev.Elreta Dodds, Dr. Leon Hesser, author of Iowa-born Nobel laureate Norman Borlaug's biography, "The Man Who Fed The World, and the Trade Commission of Spain which will be promoting Spanish books.
At the 2005 Christian Book Fair held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Iowa City, exhibitors came from USA, Canada, United Kingdom, India and Croatia, and there were lots of free seminars and a free Christian concert.
