WeWebU and Partners Exhibit at IBM IOD in Las Vegas
Press release from: WeWebU Software AG
(openPR) - Herzogenaurach, 10/16/2009 – WeWebU Software AG, maker of standard software for Enterprise Information Management (EIM), presents its technologies together with their long-time US partner and distributor RSCA from October 25 till 29 at IBM Information On Demand (IOD) 2009 in Las Vegas (booth 804/903). Further WeWebU partners present at IOD are CM Mitchell Consulting (CMMC) and IBM Premier Partner Jeskell Inc. With the latter WeWebU closed a reselling agreement lately. WeWebU’s objective for the exhibition is winning new customers in the USA. On the product side, WeWebU will focus on OpenWorkdesk 2.5 and the latest version of Zero-Install Office Integration. Both are presented to the North American audience for the first time. Additionally, WeWebU is nominated for the IBM CTO Innovation Award with a solution based on the most recent IBM iWidget technology.
The current version of OpenWorkdesk 2.5, a suite of applications for Enterprise Content Management (ECM), provides new, user-friendly features and functions that ease and accelerate document management without the need to implement additional components for business process management. The function docs@work provides smart document processing. By combining role management and virtual folder structures, incoming documents can easily be dispatched and the four-eyes-principle for outgoing documents is easily achieved without any workflow engine. Dr. Rainer Pausch, Head of Products & Marketing at WeWebU, says, “docs@work provides simple but efficient document processing and thus is the ideal tool to speed up everyday tasks with only little effort. It may lead the path to more powerful Business Process Management components that in the past users and executives were reluctant to invest in.”
Also the worldwide unique WeWebU Zero Install Office integration will be presented in its latest version. Besides the support of even more MS Office applications it now allows Office workers to scan documents directly at their desktop and store and index them without a detour in the ECM system. Of course, neither an additional installation nor client is needed.
Broadcasting Information Cockpit nominated for the IBM CTO Innovation Award
Completely new developed technologies of WeWebU will also be a matter of public interest at IOD: A selected jury of experts has nominated the Broadcasting Information Cockpit for the IBM CTO Innovation Award. The prototype of this new kind of application uses cutting-edge IBM IOD technologies and combines diverse kinds of information from different sources in a single work environment. Because of using the base technologies of IBM iWidgets and SOA, it provides easy expandability and can be adapted to the users’ needs as simple as never before. The Broadcasting Information Cockpit’s nomination for the IBM CTO Innovation Award successfully and progressively shows WeWebU’s future approach: To combine Business Intelligence and Enterprise Content Management to Enterprise Information Management.
