(openPR) - There is a new site that saves searching time by bringing all the latest cancer information together in one place. It brings together both the latest medical news and information on alternative therapies.

"Let food by thy medicine, and medicine thy food" is an oft quoted saying belonging to Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine.
This turned out to be a life saving quote for Glenn Johnson when he was diagnosed with an aggressive esophageal cancer in 2003. Taking a nutritional approach, Glenn was declared cancer-free on 6th July 2004, some eleven months later, despite saying no to the surgery recommended.
Glenn says "The surgery that was offered was barbaric to put it mildly. Even if it were successfully, it was going to take me a couple of years to be able to eat a plate of food again and would leave me with permanent reflux. The not-possible-but-probable complications of the surgery meant I could be facing months in hospital unable to eat at all. And all this for a 50/50 possibility of living 5 years. I decided if I only had a short time left, I would rather have some quality of life!"
"Fortunately I have a partner who has a background in natural therapies and a terrier-dog attitude to finding information on the internee - a combination that ended up literally saving my life - and more importantly to me - my quality of life".
The website cancer-einfo.com grew out of Glenn's journey with his cancer, and has been developed by his partner Marilyn, to get their message to other cancer sufferers. After Glenn's recovery they found themselves inundated by requests for information on what they had done, and how they had done it, and they quickly realized there were many people all over the world looking for information.
Marilyn said "The biggest problem I faced when researching was sorting the wheat from the chaff. There is so much information out there, and it is so hard to verify any of it. Everyone has a different theory ad there are a lot of people out there trying to sell you on something they have not even tried themselves. I guess the difference people see in our story is that we have lived it. The other problem was the time I spent searching for the information itself - so we thought it would be of value to try to put as much as possible on one site."
And so, cancer-einfo.com was launched and now presents information on all types of cancers. It is certainly a great starting point for anyone wanting or needing information on any form of cancer.
