(openPR) - Euroforum: communicatin ready for the next lap

Vienna. On 22nd of October 2009 the advertising association Vienna invites again to the annual Euroforum: communication event, platform for European communication, guaranteeing an interesting mix of “connecting businesses and communications”. The Event takes place in Studio 44, Vienna.

Focus point Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sotschi)
The main goal of the Euroforum is to promote and establish business relations and synergies between people and companies from all parts of Europe. This service is free for all members, as well as all people who are generally interested in communication and advertising and people who simply want to expand their horizon.
The focus of Euroforum: communication is the cross-border exchange of experiences in the communications industry Europe-wide, concentrating this year on Russia, in particular the cities Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sotschi.
Russia is the largest country on Earth - with a population of 142.5 million, 10.1 of which in Moscow alone - and the world's biggest advertising space, with a market developing at fascinating speed (9,1% growth in 2007). There are some 6,300 advertising agencies working in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and more poster advertising in the capital than in all of Great Britain. 80% of the financial capability of the country is located in Moscow. Two out of three inward investments into the Russian economy go to the capital city. St. Petersburg with its huge number of sectoral establishments is a center for Russian research and development, as well as an important communications junction. By being host of the XXII. Winter Olympics, taking place in February 2014, Sotschi offers numerous opportunities for investments – also for Austrian advertisers.

Large companies have identified the potential of this new market long ago, although their longstanding advertising campaigns have usually led to limited success in Russia: language, traditions and the often discussed "Russian soul" present challenges for foreign partners, showing yet again that success is not possible without profound understanding and cultural knowledge.

Euroforum: communication wants to guide all participants on their first steps in the right direction.

Highlights
A high level podium discussion thematizes „Understand Russian?” and deals exactly with these cultural issues in daily business and guarantees a profound insight in the world of Austrian-Russian business relationships. New views and chances for Austrian companies in preparation for the XXII. Winter Olympics, will be revealed in an additional discussion about „Sochi 2014 – Austria is getting ready“.

The morning program is held by the advertising association Vienna in association with the Austrian foreign trade chamber.
The Austrian Commercial Counsellor’s Office in Moscow especially prepared a branch-specific report on the subject of communication about Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sotschi for the Euroforum: communication, which will be exclusively presented on 22nd of October at Studio 44.
Euroforum: communication is proud to present Livia Kling, writer of „The Russians are coming“, as one of the guest speakers. In her book she shows what makes Russia tick, how the local millionaires got their money and what all this means for Austria. CEO of Frey-Wille, Dr. Friedrich Wille and Stefan Szalachy, Russcom partner for Austria, will share their experiences on the Russian market with all participants.
High-level representatives of major Russian advertising agencies and communication companies will go into advantages of working in Russia, but also strike up with difficulties. The CEO of Draftfcb Moscow Elena Grinina will present two showcases of her agency, including the actual campaign for Sotschi.
Maxi Shilov, Creative Director REPUBLICO Sankt Petersburg, shows the immense creative capability of the region, while Jason Romeyko from Saatchi & Saatchi is surfing with the participants through an ocean of tips and tricks for working on the Russian Market.

Just as every year there is a festival-premiere: the Moscow International Advertising festival presents the winner of this year’s Red-Apple-Awards, which were elected this September.
